ON THE TRAIL

Need to catch up on the blog; really behind on our travel tales. Now we're rolling along on our way to Birch Bay, Washington, and meeting up with kids and grandkids there for a mini-vacation. Headed out of Kerrville, TX, on Saturday. Really like the RV park there... on the Guadalupe River, nice pads, just very comfortable and VERY reasonable rates!! And, looking forward to returning there in the Fall and house hunting in Kerrville.

Tonight we're in Clayton, NM, just over the Texas border from Abilene. It was a beautiful drive here. Drove the Panhandle area through Palo Duro which is the 2nd largest canyon in the US, just after Grand Canyon. Beautiful!! Lots of cattle, horses and huge farms!! Tomorrow onto Colorado Springs and a two night stay to catch our breath and relax a little. And a much needed stop at the commissary at Fort Carson... refrigerator is looking kind of empty.
